Hello Marketing By David Coslett

Who This is For:

People like Rhydian — ambitious, operationally focused, smart.

Already running a business (£500k+ maybe) — and now ready to grow it with intention.

You’ve got the vision. You can see the potential. You just need the right strategy to unlock it. If you’ve ever thought:

“Marketing doesn’t work for me…”

You’re about to learn why — and how to fix it.

Who This is Not For:

If you want a shortcut or a silver bullet…. If you hate learning or aren't ready to invest your time or money, this Newsletter probably isn’t your thing.

I don’t do hacks. I do what works.

Let’s be honest… I’ve made every mistake in the book.

Before I built a business, I was a musician. I toured the UK and Europe. We charted. We sold out venues. I built an audience over 7 years… But I didn’t monetise it. I didn’t really know what I was doing.

I made money, but I only just broke even. Why?

  • I didn't know how the music business worked.

  • Played venues that were way too big.

  • Put out rubbish songs (AKA… rubbish content).

  • I worked with the wrong people. Time wasters.

  • I made technical mistakes — wrong equipment, bad recordings

I thought being busy was the same as making progress.

I thought an audience = success.

I was wrong.

Turning a corner

I applied everything I learned from the music industry to marketing and business.

And that changed everything.

Here’s a quick case study:

I was working with a sales director. His team wasn’t converting, and the business was stuck. So I gave him a plan. He gave me a month.

We launched:

  • A dedicated Facebook page and YouTube channel

  • Regular content on LinkedIn

  • Targeted videos and posts around the exact pain points of his audience:

We built his authority — and it worked.

He became visible, trusted, and respected in his space.

Conversions followed. So did better hires. So did growth.

And now, I see the same mistakes again and again:

❌ No plan

❌ No strategy

❌ No social content

❌ No videos

❌ Focusing on the wrong platform

❌ Grudge spending instead of smart investing

❌ Trying to do it all themselves

❌ Not optimising their website or SEO

❌ No call to action

❌ And no idea what to post or why

Sound familiar?

If so — you’re in the right place.
